The Thermo Scientific™ VitroEase™ Cryo-EM Training Kit provides a complete solution that includes detailed instructions for the successful preparation of grids for cryo-electron microscopy single particle analysis.
Pure carbon support films with no Formvar backing. This new product has an even thinner carbon film which is mounted on a Lacey carbon film. The carbon support layer lying over the holes is less than 3nm in thickness and is the thinnest support film available. It is particularly useful for high resolution microscopy of low contrast particles and is also ideal for use with the Energy Filtering TEM.
Silver flakes in an inorganic silicate aqueous solution, specially formulated adhesive for demanding bonding applications.
NC2391032 CARBON GRID GOLD 1.2 UM HOLE
These carbon tapes are conductive and may be used conveniently for scanning electron microscopy or EDS applications. This is the same material as the PELCO Tabs™, Carbon Conductive Tabs, but in tape form. The tape form allows for special application uses such as custom sizes, cut-outs and shapes. The purity of this tape is identical to the PELCO Tabs™; only very small impurities of Al and Si may be found. Both sides of the tape have a thick conductive adhesive (conductive inner film is 35µm and the adhesive is 45µm on each side for a total of 125µm [5 mils]) with a white liner. The double adhesive and conductive design permits quick mounting of samples without using liquid or colloidal adhesives.
Widely used compact grid box for 50 standard 3.05mm TEM grids with smoothly sliding clear plastic cover is matched to a tough, clean, self-lubricating base. The diamond-shaped grid compartments are designed to minimize awkward wrist or hand movements. The depth of the holes restricts grid movement when transported. The materials selected for the PELCO Grid Box are static dissipative to avoid static charges on the grids. Dimensions: 77.5 x 41 x 9mm.
The tape is relatively solid and non-porous and does not absorb small samples. The variety of widths affords efficient application to various specimen mount surface sizes. Thickness is 0.16mm. Available in six widths. Can be used down to -20°C (-4°F) and temperature maximum is 60°C (140°F). Available in 5, 8, 12, 20, 25, and 50mm W x 20m L (0.19, 0.31, 0.47, 0.79, 0.98, and 1.96" x 21.8 yd). Core diameter is 76mm (3"). SEM mounts not included.
Dbl sided manipulator platform for Nikon Ti Inverted scope
Very strong and rugged clear polycarbonate box to store standard pin mounts with 3.2mm (1/8"). This box is watertight, crushproof and dustproof. The strong hinges, locking clasps and soft silicone O-ring seal makes this an ideal transport, shipping and storage box for SEM samples on pin mounts. The holder insert is numbered 1-18 and accommodates all types of pin mounts form 6.4 to 50mm diameter.

Alumina, Basic, Act. I, 50-200um, 1kgAlumina Basic, Standard Activity I is a good all-purpose adsorbent for laboratory as well as process use.It has a pH of 10, a particle distribution of 50-200um, & a quantity of 1kg. The starting activity level of Alumina, Standard Activity I is about half as high as Alumina, Activity Super I & can be deactivated by the addition of polar media (water, alcohols, etc.) according to the deactivation scale. Standardized manufacturing processes provide a specific Brockmann dryness level for lot to lot reproducibility & precise deactivation possibilities. The Loss on Ignition (LOI) is 1.7 +/- 0.2% & the specific surface is ~150 m2/g.The adsorption behavior is extremely constant. Alumina Basic, Standard Activity I may be used for the purification of solvents.Applications include: Alkaloids, essential oils, plant extraction, purification of organic solvents, insecticides, clarification of fatty oils, removal of alcohol from chloroform
AURION R-Gent SE-EM is a high efficiency silver enhancement reagent for electron microscopy. It intensifies the gold particles by homogeneous deposition of metallic silver on the particle surface. The resulting electron dense signal is easily detected and is compatible with heavy metal counterstaining. The reagent has extremely delayed auto-nucleation and can be used under standard laboratory light conditions. It also has low viscosity, which is especially advantageous for pre-embedding immunogold applications.

Lanthanum Hexaboride is the optimum cathode material for use in SEM, TEM, X-Ray Microanalysis, and Electron Beam Lithography and is a direct replacement for tungsten filaments. It features low potential barrier (work function), high melting point and stability at high temperatures, a low vapor pressure that reduces evaporation lost, and chemical stability. The LaB6 beam is ten times brighter than tungsten, has superior resolution and can be used in a wide range of accelerating voltages. It provides sharp and clear pictures even to the smallest details. Heat and vacuum are the determinants of cathode tip's life, but at 1550 °C and 10-7 Torr, a service life of about 500 hours can be achieved.
