Invitrogen™ Human Osteocalcin, Native Protein
Native Protein
Supplier: Invitrogen™ RP43153
Description
Osteocalcin (human) Native Protein, RP-43153, from Invitrogen.
Osteocalcin belongs to the osteocalcin/matrix Gla-protein family and constitutes 1-2% of the total bone protein. It binds strongly to apatite and calcium. Gamma-carboxyglutamate residues are formed by vitamin K dependent carboxylation. These residues are essential for the binding of calcium. RP-43153 contains native human Osteocalcin protein. RP-43153 may be used as a positive control in many immunological assays. The RP-43153 protein molecular weight is ∽5.8 kDa. The product is of human blood/plasma origin. Although the starting material was tested prior to initiation of the manufacturing process, and was found negative or nonreactive for anti-HIV-1/2, HIV-1 antigen(s), HBsAg, STS, anti-HCV, anti-HBcore and anti-HTLV I & II, extreme caution should be used when handling this material as there is a margin of error in all tests. This product is to be used for IN VITRO research purposes only, and is not intended for clinical or diagnostic use!Specifications
